Why your rebrand keeps stalling

Most rebrands don't fail at the logo. They fail in the handoff.

The identity gets designed by one team, signed off, celebrated. Everyone leaves the room happy. Then months later a different team builds the website, interpreting that identity through their own assumptions, their own deadlines, their own idea of what "on brand" means. By launch, the two no longer agree. The colors drift. The tone splits. The spacing that felt so considered in the brand guidelines gets quietly abandoned the first time it's inconvenient. What looked coherent in a presentation falls apart in production.

This happens because brand and digital are treated as two projects with a fence between them. Each side optimizes for its own deliverable. The brand team wants a beautiful book. The web team wants a site that ships. Nobody owns the whole, so the whole is where things break.

We work the other way around. The system — type, color, spacing, voice, motion — is decided once, before either the identity or the site is considered "finished." Both are built from the same source of truth, so they physically can't drift. A decision made for the logo is the same decision that governs the homepage, because they're drawing from one set of rules rather than two interpretations.

The result isn't more design. It's less rework, fewer contradictions, and a presence that holds together because it was never split in the first place. The savings show up later, too: when you launch a new product or campaign, there's no negotiation about how it should look. The system already answered.

A rebrand should feel like one decision, carried all the way through — not two departments meeting in the middle and hoping the seam doesn't show.
