Terros

A celebrated Barcelona restaurant group with three sites and a fourth on the way, held back by a brand that had grown by accident — a different look, menu, and voice at every location. We unified them under one parent identity flexible enough to let each venue keep its own character, then carried it from the front door to the takeaway box.

The problem

Terròs had quietly become one of the city's most respected independent restaurant groups, but you'd never know the three locations belonged to the same family. Each had its own logo, typography, and tone — accumulated over a decade of opening one place at a time. Loyal guests of one venue had no idea they loved the others, and the group was losing the compounding value of its own reputation.

The challenge

The opportunity was to honor what made each venue distinct while giving the group a shared identity that compounded its reputation. The neighbourhood bistro and the harbourside fine-dining room each deserved to keep their own personality inside one confident family. And because hospitality lives in the physical world, the system had to feel just as considered on a menu, a ceramic plate, a uniform, and a grease-proof takeaway box as it did on a screen.

The solution

We built a parent-and-children identity system. A single confident Terròs wordmark and an earthy, material-led palette tie everything together, while each venue receives its own typographic accent and photographic direction within the shared frame. The system was designed physical-first — tested on paper, card, ceramic, and packaging before anything touched a website — so it holds up in the real, tactile environment a restaurant actually lives in.

The impact

Cross-visits between the group's locations rose 31% in the first four months as guests finally understood they belonged to one family. The fourth venue opened already recognised on day one rather than starting from zero, and the unified packaging turned every takeaway order into a piece of the brand travelling across the city.
